ISAF soldier dies, three wounded in two separate explosions in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier died of wounds and three were injured in two separate explosions that occurred today in southern Afghanistan.

“We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the soldier who died today, and those who were wounded, while working to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan,” said Lieutenant Colonel Sarto LeBlanc, Regional Command South spokesperson.  “We have lost a valuable member of our team and this loss will be felt across our command.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.

Next of kin have been notified.
