Traffic accident injures woman

KABUL, Afghanistan – One Afghan woman was injured as a result of a traffic accident in Kabul city today.

An ISAF Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) travelling on Jalalabad road accidentally hit the woman.

The woman was transported to an ISAF hospital where she is being treated.

"This was a very unfortunate accident that happened today. The members of the OMLT feel sorry for the injured person and her family. We are now ensuring that she is receiving the best medical care," said Lieutenant Colonel Frederic Thomazo, French Force’s spokesperson. "ISAF takes every precaution to make their convoys as visible to the Afghan people with whom they share the roads."
