Two ISAF soldiers killed, two wounded in southern Afghanistan explosion

KABUL, Afghanistan – Two ISAF soldiers were killed and two were wounded during an explosion in southern Afghanistan early this morning.

The wounded soldiers were transported to an ISAF hospital where they are being treated.

“We offer our most sincere condolences to the families and friends of the soldiers who died today and to those of the wounded soldiers,” said Brigadier General Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson. “They are in our thoughts as they grieve for their loved ones who died while helping to bring peace and stability to the Afghan people.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
