ISAF engineers provide
Kabul Police IED training

KABUL, Afghanistan – Ninety Kabul City Police officers were provided Improvised Explosive Device Incident Management training by ISAF’s Italian specialists of Regional Command Capital during the last three weeks.

The training focused on the incident command system and cordon procedures and was conducted in cooperation with the Afghan National Directorate on Security, the Combined Security Training Command and French specialist teams.

After training with various scenarios, the attendees were shown practical examples on the conduct of post-incident procedures with regard to on-the-spot management.

The course received an extremely positive feedback by Kabul’s regional district attendees who will be called to spread the skills acquired to their subordinates.

The head of the Kabul Police Academy expressed his satisfaction with ISAF initiative, which he expects to be repeated in the future, to enhance local police’s incident response capabilities.
