Two ISAF soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan explosion

KABUL, Afghanistan – On Sunday, Mar. 30, two ISAF soldiers were killed in Southern Afghanistan when they were caught in an explosion during a routine patrol.

The soldiers were airlifted to the medical facility at Camp Bastion and one soldier was pronounced dead on arrival and the other died subsequently. 

“Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the soldiers who have been killed in this incident,” said Lt. Col. Simon Millar, Task Force Helmand spokesperson.  

In accordance with ISAF policy the nationalities of casualties are not released until national next of kin have been notified.
