Explosion kills two ISAF soldiers,
injures one in Paktika

KABUL, Afghanistan – Two ISAF soldier were killed and one was injured when their patrol struck an improvised explosive device in Sharan District, Paktika Province, Feb. 26.

The wounded soldier is being treated at an ISAF medical facility.

Our hearts and minds are with the family and other loved ones of the brave soldiers who died on patrol yesterday,” said Brig. Gen. Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson. “These soldiers died honourably, helping bring security to Afghanistan.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
