ISAF soldier dies of non-combat injury

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier died from a non-combat injury Feb. 24 in southern Afghanistan.

ISAF is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Our deepest sympathies go out to the soldier's family, friends and fellow soldiers,” said Lieutenant Colonel Sarto LeBlanc, spokesman for Regional Command South. “We have lost a valuable member of our team who will be sorely missed.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
