ISAF soldier killed, one wounded in Sarobi District direct fire attack

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier was killed and one was injured in a direct fire attack on a patrol in Sarobi District, Kabul Province today.

The wounded soldier was transported to an ISAF hospital where he is being treated.

“Our thoughts are now with the friends and families of the soldier who died and the soldier injured in today's incident,” said Brig. Gen. Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesperson.

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
