Qala-e-Naw PRT soldiers distribute 50 tons of aid

KABUL, Afghanistan – Qala-e-Naw Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) soldiers delivered more than 50 tons of humanitarian aid in Badghis Province recently.

The Spanish PRT has intensified its activity to distribute humanitarian aid by delivering basic essentials to help Badghis people through the intense temperatures of this winter.

More than 13,000 kilograms of rice, 12,000 kilograms of flour, 4,000 liters of kitchen oil and 2,000 blankets, coats, raincoats and boots, power plants and portable generators were delivered to the population.

The solidarity of the Spanish soldiers has reached many places in Qala-e-Naw, Ab Kamari, Qades, Muqur, Jawand and Murghab Districts, to help the neediest locals with the harsh weather situation.

Qala-e-Naw PRT soldiers directly support the population of Badghis Province. Their main task is to support the Government of Afghanistan in their province to reach a stable and secure environment, to strengthen the governance, and to make reconstruction and development easier.
