One ISAF solider killed, one injured in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier has been killed and another was injured when their vehicle struck a mine in southern Afghanistan today.

“All ISAF troops continue to work in difficult, dangerous and challenging conditions, and do so with the utmost professionalism,” said Brig. Gen. Carlos Branco, ISAF spokesman. "The death and injury of these soldiers is keenly felt, and our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of those who tragically died today.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
