ISAF strongly condemns
terrorist bombing in Baghlan

KABUL, Afghanistan – The following is a statement by Gen. Dan McNeill, ISAF commander:

ISAF is deeply saddened by the senseless terrorist attack in Baghlan Province and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their friends and families.  The ISAF community will extend all possible support to the people of Afghanistan in the wake of this heinous act.

This was an act of terrorism on a most indiscriminate scale.  Whoever was responsible, obviously cared nothing about the intolerable pain and suffering they would inflict on innocent civilians.

ISAF has provided mass casualty medical assistance to the victims and has supported Afghan authorities with a damage assessment team.   The men and women of the 38 nations that comprise ISAF stand ready to perform any other assistance needed.”
