ISAF soldier killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier has died of wounds sustained Oct. 15, during operations in southern Afghanistan.

“ISAF continues its mission to improve the security situation in the south, and its troops continue to work productively in a dangerous and challenging environment,” said Wing Commander Antony McCord, a spokesman for Regional Command South. "Our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the soldier who died today.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
