Two ISAF soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan – Two ISAF soldiers were killed and two others were injured during an attack on their patrol base in Southern Afghanistan yesterday.

“ISAF’s mission to secure a better future for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will continue despite the dangers faced.  Day by day our troops make a very real and positive difference to the lives of normal hardworking Afghan people,” said Wing Commander Antony McCord, a spokesman for Regional Command South. “Our thoughts at this time are with the family and friends of the soldiers who died in this incident.”

In accordance with ISAF policy, ISAF does not release the casualties’ nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
