ISAF helicopter overturns during landing

KABUL, Afghanistan – An ISAF helicopter overturned while trying to land during a MEDEVAC mission in Ghormach village of Bagdhis province today around 8 p.m.

The helicopter was part of a mission to recover personnel of the Afghan National Police who were injured in an IED strike.

A second helicopter was able to safely land and recover the crew from the damaged helicopter, as well as two critically wounded ANP. 

No ISAF personnel were injured and there was no hostile activity during the incident.

The incident is currently under investigation by ISAF authorities.
