Attack on ISAF, ANA and Local Nationals

KABUL, Afghanistan – A suicide vehicle-born improvised explosive device [SVBIED] exploded outside the military gate of Kabul International Airport, killing the bomber and two ANSF members.  It wounded five ISAF soldiers, one ANSF member and four local Afghans.

“This attack is another example of the differences between the insurgents and ISAF/ANSF forces,” said Maj. Charles Anthony, ISAF spokesperson. “The insurgents kill indiscriminately and destroy lives, while ISAF and ANSF forces help the citizens of Afghanistan. This bombing will not deter ISAF from its mission to bring security, stability and reconstruction to the country.”
