Suicide bomber kills 3 Afghans;
attacked ISAF convoy

KABUL, Afghanistan – A suicide bomber died and five Afghan civilians were injured when he struck an ISAF convoy Aug. 4 in southern Afghanistan. Three of the civilians later died of their wounds.

There were no injuries to ISAF soldiers. The ISAF vehicle struck burned.

“This attack is another example of the difference between the insurgents and ISAF,” said Lt. Col. Claudia Foss, ISAF spokesperson. “The insurgents only bring death and destruction to the people of Afghanistan. ISAF brings hope. The bombing will not deter ISAF from its mission to bring security, stability and reconstruction to Afghanistan.”
