4 ISAF soldiers killed in IED strike

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – Four ISAF soldiers were killed and one wounded when their convoy was struck by an improvised explosive device today while conducting combat operations in eastern Afghanistan.

“Our thoughts are with the families and friends of these fine soldiers,” said Lt. Col. Claudia Foss, ISAF spokesperson.  “ISAF and its soldiers remain resolved to bring security to Afghanistan and rebuilding this proud nation.”

In accordance with NATO policy, ISAF does not release a casualty’s nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
