Medical clinic to serve 10,000
in Pushte Koh district

TOJG, Farah, Afghanistan – A ribbon-cutting ceremony July 12 opened a new 10-room health clinic that will provide health services to more than 10,000 here and in surrounding villages.

The Farah provincial government, with the help of ISAF’s Provincial Reconstruction Team Farah, opened this clinic for the local people.  Local Afghan contractors were actually commissioned to build the clinic.

“Today [July 12], we have the opportunity to rebuild our province,” said Dr. Mohammed Qasem Bayan, provincial director for health.  “I thank everyone who was involved with this project and hope soon all the districts in Farah will have a clinic like this,” he added.
