Romanian ‘Hawks’ mark international day of children

PRT QALAT, Afghanistan (June 6) – The Carpathian Hawks, Romanian soldiers from ISAF’s Provincial Reconstruction Team Qalat, and Afghan National Police troops visited with Qalat schoolchildren June 1 as part of International Children’s Day. They distributed 200 satchels of food.

“It is the third CIMIC (Civil-Military Cooperation) activity in Zabul province during the last four weeks,” said Capt. Dan Adrian, spokesman for the Carpathian Hawks.  “Everyone was happy about the visit. International Children’s Day is an important day for us.”
