Police trainees graduate with new skills

KABUL, Afghanistan – Graduating police trainees were presented certificates in a May 30 ceremony after learning critical skills to allow them to do their jobs more effectively.

Presiding at the ceremony was Regional Command-Capital operations chief Colonel Hasan Usyılmaz, the Turkish battle group commander, and three regional Afghan police chiefs.

“This training will be very useful for our policemen in dealing with stabilizing the area and provision of secure environment. Thanks to the Turkish Battle Group for creating this opportunity for us,” said Abdurrahman Rahimi police chief of police district one.

Turkish Camp Dogan hosted the training course which consisted of road control, road blocking, vehicle and personnel searching, response to social incidents and introduction to military police equipment.
