Soldier slightly wounded in Uruzgan suicide bomb attack

KABUL, Afghanistan – Contrary to some reports claiming large number of deaths, one Australian International Security Assistance Force soldier was slightly wounded during an apparent suicide-bombing attack in Uruzgan province today.

During the attack, two local Afghans also received minor injuries and were treated on the scene by ISAF medical personnel.  All injured personnel were later transferred to Tarin Kowt hospital by members of the Afghan National Army.

The attacker was killed during the incident.
