Gunman attacks Afghans working for ISAF

FORWARD OPERATING BASE SALERNO, Afghanistan – Two Afghan civilian employees working for ISAF were killed and one was wounded after they were attacked by gunmen near the Ghar Ghosh High School in Khowst Province today.

The Afghans, who were employed at by Kellogg, Brown and Root at Forward Operating Base Salerno, were riding to work on two motorcycles when a motorcycle ridden by two men approached from the opposite direction. One of the oncoming riders pulled out a rifle and open fire on the three, killing two and injuring the other.

The injured Afghan was taken to the Khowst City Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

There were no International Security Assistance Forces involved in the incident.

The incident is currently under investigation by Afghan and ISAF authorities.
