ISAF soldier died today in Southern Afghanistan

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – An ISAF soldier died today in Southern Afghanistan as a result of injuries sustained during a vehicle accident. No other ISAF vehicles or local nationals were involved in the accident. The accident was non-combat related.

“Our hearts are with the soldier’s family and members of his unit. We will never forget the sacrifice he made to help improve life for the Afghan people,” said Lt Col Maria Carl, ISAF spokesperson.

In accordance with NATO policy, ISAF does not release a casualty's nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
