Qalat radio station resumes broadcasting

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – In support of reconstruction efforts an ISAF team of technical specialists reactivated the Qalat radio station last week.

After six months of inactivity the station is now broadcasting five hours per day.  The team plans to increase broadcast time to seven hours per day in the near future, and up to 12 hours per day during the next quarter.

IASF personnel also provided the station with a laptop, digital recording, production system and fuel for power generation.
