ISAF troops distribute food in Chahar Asiab district

KABUL, Afghanistan - On Wednesday and Thursday ISAF troops from Regional Command-Capital’s Italian Battle Group carried out a two-day food donation near the village of Gulbagh in Chahar Asiab district.

Over the two days, 190 families were supplied with food including rice, oil, sugar, beans, flour and salt.

The Commander of Italian forces, Col. Antonio Maggi, and the Italian Battle Group Commander, Lt. Col. Stefano Fregona took the opportunity to meet with Chahar Asiab’s Governor, Alhaj Sheer Mohammad during the visit.

“We know that by providing this humanitarian aid we can help build strong relationships and good feelings with the local people” said Maggi. “Our primary objective is to work together on reconstruction and development. These activities significantly help the local population.
