Two Afghan civilians injured in shooting

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan – Earlier today, ISAF forces fired on a vehicle that approached their patrol south of Methar Lam, wounding the driver and a passenger in the car. 

A member of the dismounted patrol used arm and hand signals to warn the vehicle to stop and then fired warning shots into the ground in front of it. The vehicle continued toward the soldiers and was engaged.

ISAF forces provided medical treatment at the scene and the injured were taken to a local hospital.

Afghan Security Forces responded to the scene to provide assistance. An investigation is underway to determine all facts involved in the incident.
