Jalalabad PRT donates printing press

BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan – Last week, an opening ceremony for a printing machine donated by the Jalalabad Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) was held in the Information and Culture Department in Nangarhar province.

“We are thankful to the PRT. They have helped us in the past and have now donated this printing machine,” said Information and Culture Director Mr Samim. “We will be able to print the Nangarhar Newspaper three times a week and inform the people of Nangarhar of the daily happenings in the country, about culture, education and other important things which will change the ideas and views of the people and will start to support the Government of Afghanistan.”

“I am glad to be a part of this ceremony and I am sure that this will bring a positive change to the future of Nangarhar and the country,” said deputy governor, Mohd Alam Ishaqzai.

Mr. Ishaqzai said that he was thankful to the PRT members and especially to Lt. Col. Dave Naisbitt, the PRT commander. He said that the PRT is helping the provincial government and this is the best example of that.
