ISAF soldiers assist with local vehicle accident

GARDEZ, Afghanistan – On 2 January an ISAF convoy stopped to render aid after witnessing an accident between two Afghan vehicles near Camp Torkham, Nangarhar province.

The driver of one vehicle fled the scene as the convoy approached. The ISAF military police patrol stopped to administer first aid to those remaining. Afghan bystanders also assisted in pulling individuals out of one vehicle.

While there were no life-threatening injuries, all three passengers were evacuated to the nearest hospital in Jalalabad for care.
