Regional Command Capital Military Police train Afghan Security Forces on Crime Scene Investigation

Thirty Afghan National Security Forces personnel were delivered specific training on Crime Scene Investigation by the Italian Military Police (Carabinieri) of Regional Command Capital.

Following a request by the Headquarters Security Support Brigade (HSSB) of the Afghan Ministry of Defense, ISAF’s subcommand responsible for Kabul set up a training package consisting of theory and practice of criminal investigation with special regard to terrorist attacks.

The one-week course – hosted at the Headquarters of HSSB - ended with the presentation of certificates of participation.

“The professional skills acquired by the attendees – officers and non-commissioned officers with various degrees of expertise – will prove extremely useful in the conduct of investigations in the context of Afghanistan”, said the head of HSSB who expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with ISAF in the field of security.

This is the second training course provided by Regional Command Capital’s Military Police: last December Croatian MPs taught Kabul City Policemen anti-riot and checkpoint techniques.
