NATO’s Military Committee visits Canada, for meetings with NATO Chiefs of Defence Staff 06 - 09 September 2007
BRUSSELS -- NATO’s Military Committee will meet in Chiefs of Defence Staff session from 06 – 09 September. General Rick Hillier, the Canadian Chief of Defence Staff, will welcome the Chairman of the Military Committee, General Ray Henault and the 25 other Chiefs of Defence in Ottawa on 06 September, where they will attend a State Dinner with the Governor General, before flying on to Victoria, British Columbia for a series of meetings and interactive seminars.
These meetings will focus on how to improve providing resources and other capabilities to enhance operations.
General Henault will hold a media availability from 1315-1330 on 06 September at the Government of Canada, Canadian Reception Centre, Ottawa airport.
A separate advisory will be issued prior to the conclusion of the meetings in Victoria on 08 September regarding any subsequent media availabilities or releases.
