Recent events in Syria have resulted in a flow of Syrian refugees into Turkey and refugee camps have been set up on the Turkish side of the Syrian border. Turkey is putting every effort to meet the needs of the Syrian refugees to the extent possible making full use of its means and capabilities.
However, upon the considerable increase in number of refugees, the Turkish authorities have decided to accept offers by the international community to share the burden.
