Bracketing an informal meeting of NATO defence ministers hosted by Hungary on 9 and 10 October, NATO's interactive exhibition – “Securing our future” – was on show for 12 days to the public in the centre of Budapest.
The exhibition was jointly opened on 3 October by State Secretary Jozsef Bali from the Hungarian Ministry of Defence and NATO Public Diplomacy Division's Head of Publications & Exhibits, Dr. Gerlinde Niehus.
In addition to regular visitors to Budapest's Military History Institute & Museum, which hosted the exhibition, over a dozen organized tour groups were able to learn about NATO's role in responding to existing and emerging security challenges.
