The North Atlantic Council attends ACT Seminar in Norfolk, Virginia

The Ambassadors of the 26 NATO countries (NAC), led by the Secretary General, travelled to Norfolk (US) to participate in the annual Supreme Allied Command Transformation seminar.

They examined the future evolution of the Alliance and the key challenges that NATO will need to address to adapt to the new security threats.

The North Atlantic Council (NAC) and NATO’s military commanders discussed the Alliance’s role in the application of a Comprehensive Approach, lessons learned in operations, capabilities development and interoperability, and the development of an Education and Training Strategy.

Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Lance L. Smith, hosted the Seminar, which was also attended by the Supreme Allied Commander for Europe General Bantz J. Craddock, the Chairman of the Military Committee, General Ray Henault, and all 26 members of NATO’s Military Committee.
