NATO Week in Azerbaijan |
Azerbaijan will host the fourth NATO Week in Baku from 3 to 8 July 2006. In this framework, a series of special events, aimed raising public awareness of NATO policies and structures and reaching out to the civil society, will be organised with the support of NATO Public Diplomacy Division and the Government of Azerbaijan.

On 28 July, the North Atlantic Council gave final authorization for the NATO-led mission to expand its area of operations to six additional provinces in the south of Afghanistan , boosting NATO’s presence and role in the country.

NATO- ISAF expands to Southern Afghanistan |
The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force today assumed command of the Southern region of Afghanistan from US-led Coalition forces, further extending ISAFs mission since NATO took command of the ISAF mission in Kabul in August 2003.
