Iraqi Army receives more supplies donated
by NATO countries
Since the NATO Training Mission in Iraq began in 2004, member nations have not only provided military trainers and advisors, but have also generously donated equipment to the Iraqi Security Forces.
For example, on 21 June the last of eight cargo flights carrying 300 tons of tank ammunition donated by Slovakia arrived in Iraq . This delivery follows last year’s NATO donation of 77 tanks to the 9 th Iraqi Army Division, the country’s only mechanized formation.
