A new NATO depository library has just been opened in Pristina, Kosovo, at the National and University Library.

Managed by the National and University Library, it will provide the public with access to NATO documents and publications, allowing for a better understanding of the Alliance and its objectives.

This is the sixth NATO depository library to have been opened. The others are in:

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo and at the National and University Library of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka;
  • Croatia, at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb;
  • Serbia and Montenegro, at the Institute of International Politics and Economics in Belgrade; and
  • Slovakia, at the University Library in Bratislava.

Each one of these libraries has received a complete collection of NATO’s public documents and will be given priority access to NATO’s inter-library loan system and the documents held within the NATO library.

Publications from NATO’s Science Programme are deposited at the library of the Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France.
