Discussing defence reform at NATO

Defence Ministers from NATO member Slovenia and partner countries Albania and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (1) visited NATO on 7 and 9 March for talks with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.

Mr. Karl Viktor Erjavec, Minister of Defence of Slovenia, and Mr. Pandeli Majko, Minister of Defence of Albania, visited on Monday, 7 March. Mr. Jovan Manasijevski, Minister of Defence of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia visited on Wednesday, 9 March.

The bilateral meetings focused on the defence reform process in the respective countries and their contribution to NATO-led operations, as well as the Alliance’s transformation.

The visits are part of regular political consultations at NATO Headquarters.
