1 September is the last deadline for applications for support under the 2004
Security Through Science Programme. The Programme offers grants for
collaborative activities on security-related topics in priority research
areas, between scientists in NATO countries and their counterparts
in Partner or Mediterranean Dialogue countries.

The core of NATO’s Training Implementation Mission in Iraq arrived in Baghdad
on 14 August to identify best methods for training Iraqi forces and
start training selected headquarters personnel.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) has
helped to airlift Afghan national army troops into the Herat Province,

After five years of duty protecting Pristina airport, fire fighters
from the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) will hand over their responsibilities
