Foreign
Ministers' meeting preview
NATO's 19 Foreign Ministers are to meet, 6-7 December, to examine
issues on the Alliance's current agenda, including NATO's response
to terrorism since the attacks of 11 September 2001, steps toward
enhancing NATO-Russia relations, the situation in the Balkans,
as well as enlargement, missile defence and NATO-EU relations.
The Foreign Ministers will first meet together before holding
meetings with their counterparts from Ukraine (NATO-Ukraine
Commission), Russia (NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council) and
from the 27 non NATO members of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership
Council. A NATO-EU meeting will also be held at the level of
Foreign Ministers. It will be hosted by the Belgian EU Presidency
at the Justus Lipsius Building, European Council, Brussels,
on 6 December.
