New constitution
for the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (1)

In a statement, NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson, commended the passing of 15 constitutional amendments by the Parliament of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (1) on 16 November. These internal reforms will "move the country closer to European standards on the equitable treatment of minorities", stated Lord Robertson, adding that the country is "setting an example to the rest of the world."
