The Secretary General of NATO welcomes the agreement between the UN Secretary General and Iraq on a diplomatic situation to the Iraq crisis. He underlines the importance of providing immediate unconditional and unrestricted access to UNSCOM weapons inspectors in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

The NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council discusses NATO-Russia cooperation in SFOR with a view to its continuation in the framework of the multinational force in Bosnia following the end of SFORs current mandate in June 1998.
