Statement issued from the Meeting of Heads of State and Government and Foreign Ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary with the Presidents and Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia The leaders of the six nations emphasized at the meeting that the Madrid NATO Summit marks the beginning of the process of the Alliance's enlargement. The leaders of the six nations congratulated each other for the achievements in the Madrid NATO Declaration and pledged continuous support for each other's aspirations. The Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland confirmed their determination to intensify their cooperation.
