to visit NATO

Programme details

As announced on 6 March, the Vice President of the United States, Mr. Joseph Biden, will visit NATO Headquarters on Tuesday 10 March 2009. He will meet with the Secretary General, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer address the North Atlantic Council, and have a joint press conference with the Secretary General afterwards.

Media Advisory

09.00	Bilateral meeting between the NATO Secretary General and the Vice President of the United States;
09:30	North Atlantic Council – opening statements by the Secretary General and Vice President Biden – Room 1 – restricted pool; remarks transmitted live to the media centre, on satellite, and webstreamed on the NATO website;
12:20	Vice President Biden and the NATO Secretary General will jointly meet the press – Joseph Luns Press Theatre; open for accredited media, transmitted live on satellite, and webstreamed on the NATO website.
