NATO Secretary General to visit Israel

The Secretary General of NATO, H.E. Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will visit Israel on 11-12 January 2009, in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue.

He will meet with the Israeli Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Ehud Olmert, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Tzipi Livni and with the Minister of Defence, H.E. Mr. Ehud Barak.

During the visit, the Secretary General will also deliver a speech at the Institute for National Security Studies, on 11 January 2009 at 19.00, during an event organised jointly by the Institute for National Security Studies and the Atlantic Forum of Israel.
