NATO Secretary General to visit Jordan

The Secretary General of NATO, H.E. Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will visit Jordan on 9-11 January 2009, in the framework of the Mediterranean Dialogue.

He will meet with His Majesty King Abdullah II, as well as with the Jordanian Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, H.E. Mr. Nader Dhahabi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Salah Bashir.

During the visit, the Secretary General will attend on 10 January a ceremony for the NATO Trust Fund at the Chief of Defence Staff Headquarters in Amman and will deliver a speech at the Defence College in Amman on 11 January 2009 at 09.00.
