Statement

by NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer,
on the terrorist attacks in Algeria

I condemn in the strongest possible terms this heinous act of terrorism which has killed innocent civilians and targeted the Supreme Court of Algeria and the United Nations.

NATO stands together with its Mediterranean Dialogue partner Algeria to fight the scourge of world terrorism.
