NATO Secretary General to visit Italy

The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will visit Rome on  Tuesday 3 July 2007.

During his visit, the Secretary General will meet with the President, Mr. Giorgio Napolitano, the Prime Minister, Mr. Romano Prodi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Massimo d’Alema and the Minister of Defence, Mr. Arturo Parisi.

The Secretary General will also speak at the conference “The rule of law in Afghanistan” and meet on that occasion with the United Nations Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki Moon and the Afghan President, Mr. Hamid Karzai.
