NATO Secretary General to visit Canada

The Secretary General of NATO, Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, will travel to Canada on 21 and 22 June 2007.

The Secretary General will meet with the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr. Stephen Harper, the Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Mr. Peter MacKay and the Minister of Defence,  Mr. Gordon O’Connor. He will also meet with Commanders of the Joint Task Force Afghanistan.

The Secretary General will also give a key-note speech at the closing luncheon of the Conférence de Montréal  at the Hotel Hilton Bonaventure in Montreal.
