Statement

by the Secretary General
on the terrorist attack in Ankara

On behalf of NATO, I strongly condemn Tuesday's terrorist attack in Ankara, which killed and injured so many innocent people. The Allies stand in solidarity with Turkey and the Turkish people in the face of terrorism. I express my profound condolences to the Turkish people, in particular the families of those who lost their lives, and wish speedy recovery to the injured. NATO remains united and determined in the fight against terrorism.
