by the Secretary General on the Latvia-Russia
border agreement

Today, the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Latvia and the Russian Federation signed, in Moscow, an important border agreement between their two countries.

I warmly welcome this important step in relations between Latvia and the Russian Federation, and look forward to early ratification by the Latvian Saeima (Parliament) and the Russian Duma.
